1.4.4 Resize Text
Text can be enlarged to 200% without loss of content or function.
Manual only No automated check says anything useful.
How it fails in practice
A navigation bar where enlarged labels overflow and get clipped by overflow: hidden. A price that disappears behind a fixed header at 200%.
How to fix it
Size text in relative units and let containers grow. Fixed pixel heights on anything containing text is where this breaks.

How far an automated check gets
Nothing automatic decides this. A scanner that reports it as passing is reporting that it did not look. It stays untested until a person tests it and records what they did — which is exactly how we treat it: as untested, not as passed.
