Adds the optional Reviseberg visitor toolbar to your public pages, so a visitor who asks can change text size, spacing and colours for themselves.

== Description ==

This plugin adds one script tag to the public pages of your site:

`<script src="https://reviseberg.com/widget/v1.js" data-site-key="rbt_…" defer></script>`

That script shows the Reviseberg visitor toolbar. A visitor who opens it can change how pages are presented to them — text size, line and letter spacing, a more readable font, contrast and colours, a reading guide, highlighted links, paused animations and similar.

What the toolbar is, and what it is not:

* It is optional. Nothing changes for a visitor who does not open it.
* It changes presentation only, and only for the visitor who asks, in their own browser.
* It repairs nothing in your site. Missing text alternatives, unlabelled form fields, a keyboard trap or poor heading structure are still there for everybody, including people using their own assistive technology.
* It does not change whether your site meets any accessibility standard or law.
* Reviseberg's own scans never see it, so your scan results are the same with it on or off.

The plugin works with any theme, and with WooCommerce, Elementor, Divi and Beaver Builder sites. It is never added to:

* the WordPress admin, the login screen or the Customizer preview,
* Elementor's, Divi's or Beaver Builder's editor,
* feeds, embeds, REST or AJAX responses,
* the WooCommerce checkout.

The plugin itself sends nothing anywhere: no telemetry and no requests from your server. See "External services" below for what the visitor's browser loads.

== External services ==

This plugin loads the Reviseberg visitor toolbar script from an external service, Reviseberg (https://reviseberg.com/), or from the self-hosted Reviseberg address you enter as the script host.

* What it is used for: showing the visitor toolbar described above.
* What is sent and when: only while the toolbar is switched on and a valid site key is saved, each visitor's browser requests `https://reviseberg.com/widget/v1.js` when it opens a public page of your site. Like any request for a file, that request carries the visitor's IP address, browser user agent and the address of the page (as the referrer). The script reads your site key from the page so it can load your toolbar settings. The settings a visitor picks in the toolbar are kept in their own browser.
* Nothing is sent from your WordPress server, and nothing is sent while the toolbar is switched off.

4. Go to Settings › Reviseberg Toolbar, paste your site key, tick "Show the toolbar" and save.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Where do I find the site key? =

On the visitor toolbar screen of your Reviseberg dashboard. It starts with `rbt_` followed by 22 characters. A key in any other shape is refused with a sentence saying why.

= How do I check it works? =

Open a public page while logged out (or in a private window), view the page source and search for `/widget/v1.js`. You should find exactly one script tag with your `data-site-key` and `defer`.

= Does the toolbar change my scan results? =

No. Reviseberg's scans never see it, and it repairs nothing in the site's own code.

= What is the script host for? =

Only for a self-hosted Reviseberg deployment. Leave it as `https://reviseberg.com`. It must be an `https://` address with no path.

= My theme prints `type="text/javascript"` or `defer="defer"`. Is that wrong? =

No. WordPress prints the tag with `wp_print_script_tag()`, which adds those for themes that do not declare HTML5 script support. Browsers read both forms the same way.
